July 8-16 and July 13-16
This July, Atlanta’s AmericasMart will deliver more than 2,000 showrooms, 4,400 temporary booths in 24 collections, and thousands of products lines within 11 product centers during two markets: The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market (July 8-16) and Atlanta International Area Rug Market (July 13-16). In all, buyers will be greeted by two million square feet of upholstery and case goods, lighting, wall décor, outdoor furnishings and garden-themed décor, floral and seasonal décor, and more including tabletop and fine giftware.
For five days during the Gift & Home Furnishings Market (July 11-15), 4,000 booths of temporary exhibitors will spread across 24 temporary collections, and more than 400 exhibitors will make their Atlanta debut. Click here for a guide to the temporary sections in each of AmericasMart’s buildings.
The July Rug Market, July 13-16, will span more than 400,000 square feet in five floors of showrooms to present both handmade and machine-made rugs in classic and contemporary styles. In addition, winners of the Retailer of the Year (ROY) Awards honoring innovative rug retailers will be announced during the ROY Awards ceremony held at the Georgia Aquarium on Monday, July 14, at 5:30 p.m. While honoring retailing excellence, attendees can increase their own business savvy with a series of rug-focused seminars and events to further educate themselves about the category. In addition to a range of educational events targeted toward rug retailers, AmericasMart will offer seminars developed for the home furnishings industry seminars and events with an expanded focus. AmericasMart University (AMU) courses will be offered for retailers continue their professional education. AMU focuses on explaining how to run a business efficiently and is geared toward retailers dedicated to improving and expanding their stores. Click here to view this summer’s curriculum. A Green Product Showcase will once again be developed to help retailers easily spot eco-friendly products for their stores. The juried section of 250 products from 125 exhibiting companies will be located in Building Two, #1140. This year, AmericasMart will honor the most innovative eco-friendly product in the showcase with the “Sustainovation” Award, selected by a panel of independent judges. To complete the Green Product Showcase, green design leaders will present seminars on eco retailing.
With a series of events and seminars sponsored by AmericasMart and its permanent showrooms, of special note is a celebrity appearance by Tyler Florance, who will attend the Gift & Home Furnishings Market on Friday, July 11. Florance, host of the Food Network’s “Tyler’s Ultimate,” “Food 911” and “How To Boil Water,” will demonstrate recipes geared toward in-store promotions from 12:30-1:30 p.m. followed by a book signing and meet-and-greet from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Both events will be held in the Gourmet Gallery on the 14th Floor of Building Three.
