Now that the boomer generation is in charge of the corporate life cycle, we are stepping out to embrace the wave of change. Sustainability is the new economic for America, so why shouldn't it be for you?

In the April, 2007 issue of Time magazine, it was reported that "Venture capital is increasingly flowing to green start-ups: $474 million in the first three quarters of 2006 in Silicon Valley alone."  The article goes on to say that this statistic is gaining the attention of traders and investors "who see green technology as the next internet."

According to the Institute for Market Transformation to Sustainability, all one has to do is examine the aggregation of Green Mortgage Backed Securities to see that the fees and investment strategies are "expected to add an estimated $1 trillion/year to the global economy after five years."

With the housing market in a slump for the past year or so, retailers and designers that have embraced eco friendly practices are adding value to their local market with sustainable products. Growing your business sustainably puts the R in ROI.
